Empowering Research With Cytoflex S: Application Workshop At CRL

The Central Research Laboratory (CRL), in collaboration with Beckman Coulter and Straits Scientific (M) Sdn Bhd successfully organized a Flow Cytometry CytoFLEX Application Workshop on 29 to 30th July 2025. The workshop was held at the ARC seminar room for the theory and presentation sessions, followed by hands-on training at the flow cytometry lab, CRL4, AMDI, USM Bertam.

The event featured a comprehensive technical talk delivered by an application specialist from Beckman Coulter, Singapore, who provided in-depth insights into the principles, setup, and applications of flow cytometry using the CytoFLEX S system. Participants were introduced to key features of the instrument, including its high sensitivity, customizable configuration, and user-friendly software interface.

The two-day workshop benefited participants, including lecturers, researchers, and postgraduate students, by enhancing their understanding of flow cytometry and equipping them with:

• Practical skills in sample preparation, instrument handling, and data analysis.
• Hands-on experience with the CytoFLEX S flow cytometer.
• Confidence in applying flow cytometry for their respective research needs.
