Stuck in a “sleep-eat-research” cycle? Fear not, ASA is here at your service. The Animal Research Complex came alive with enthusiasm and anticipation this Valentine’s Day, and for all the right reasons, as we introduced the AMDI Student Association (ASA) 2023/2024 at the ASA Open Day along with all the interesting activities planned by them for everyone to enjoy!
The event started off with speeches from two people who ensure that ASA stays as well calibrated as your laboratory pipettes. Dr Ida Shazrina Ismail, Deputy Director (Academic and International), took center stage to address the students, emphasizing the pivotal role ASA plays in the student community. She perfectly articulated the significance of building a stronger bond with the student association and encouraged active participation. Dr Asmida Isa, the ASA advisor, echoed these sentiments, highlighting that the initiatives were designed exclusively for the student.
In essence, the ASA Open Day 2024 emerged as a means of fostering a vibrant and engaged student community within IPPT USM. As Dr Ida Syazwani and Dr Asmida Isa passionately conveyed, the success of ASA relies on the active participation and collaboration of students, making all the events significant in building a thriving student body.
